Cara's Annual Report 2023-24
2023-24, our 91st year, was another demanding but ultimately rewarding year for Cara. Continuing crises around the world, bringing misery to millions, forced many more university teachers and researchers to turn to our Fellowship Programme to help them to escape from danger, while our Syria Programme continued its important work with Syrian academics forced into exile in Turkey, and with a small independent university in north-west Syria that is struggling to deliver quality education in very difficult circumstances.
Through these programmes and a wide range of other activities, and with the support of many partners and donors, we were able, once again, to help hundreds of academics, changing and even saving lives.
