University of Chester supporting Cara's new fundraising campaign
We were delighted to launch our new fundraising campaign on Tuesday 18 June, at a lively and well-attended event hosted by the University of Chester. Chester's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Eunice Simmons, led off with a strong statement of support for Cara's work, followed by presentations from Cara Fellow Allam Harfoush, Cara's Director Stephen Wordsworth and Gifted Philanthropy's Director Chris Goldie.
After the summer break we will be taking our campaign out across the country, with events already fixed at Glasgow (23 September), Durham (24 September), Edinburgh (25 September), LSE (24 October), St Andrews (30 October), Cardiff Met (14 November) and Loughborough (28 November). A number of other events being planned. Crisis has been piled upon crisis in the last few years - Myanmar, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Sudan and now Palestine/Gaza. A great many academics are at risk and are looking to Cara for urgent help.
We look forward to meeting up with many of our current supporters and making many new friends as we go around, but if you are able to support us now, please click on the red 'Donate' button in the right-hand corner above.
